Hello, hello. It is I, detective John Laurence. I suppose I should tell you whats on my mind, you being my diar- umm, journal and all. I am a frustrated detective. Why am I frustrated you ask? I’ll give you a hint. DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW BORING IT CAN BE AS A DETECTIVE TO NOT HAVE HAD A CASE IN MONTHS! I assume you got my point. Anyway, I live in a small town in eastern England. A darling little town called Starshire. Where the sky is blue most every day, ravenclaw park is most cheery, and last but certantly NOT  least, the people are amazingly friendly.

I have a plot, but thats all I have so far. He lives in the early 1900′s. It’s mainly just a story in my mind.

Yesterday was pretty much our average day. I got up did school, helped with kids, talked with friends. When 2:00 came around the corner we heard an “ATTENTION ATTENTION! THE NATIONAL WEATHER COMPANY HAS ISSUED US TO GO TO THE 1, 2, OR 3 FLOOR. THERE IS A TORNADO WARNING!”. We all rushed down stairs and sat there for about 45 mins until they called the all clear. We waited a long time for the elevators. When we got home we stayed there for about 15 mins when, “ATTENTION ATTENTION! THE NATIONAL WEATHER COMPANY HAS ISSUED US TO GO TO THE 1, 2, OR 3 FLOOR. THERE IS A TORNADO WARNING!”. We headed back down stairs. we stayed there for about another 45mins-1 hour. They thankfully called the all clear and we headed home, this time for good. Thank you God for protecting everyone! :-) I sit here writing this on the edge of my seat waiting for another ‘ATTENTION’. Thankfully there isn’t even a tornado watch. I just find it amazing that it was 2 times in 1 night and God still kept everyone safe.

On our way back from Tyler I was looking out the window at the clouds. I went into a trance… “It’s strange how these clouds take such a solid form even though their just moisture. It’s weird how the bottom is so flat but the top is so puffy. They float so well and flat even though nothing is holding them up.” These thoughts amaze me. I then looked up at those clouds saying to myself, “God is SO amazing even in all the little ways that we forget to take note of.” I looked those clouds the rest of the way home.

We went to Tyler TX to visit our friends for spring break. While we were there one of our friends from pine cove asked us if we would want to come ride horses at her new barn. We said yes. The day after she asked us we went. It was SO much fun! She gave us each 20 minute horseback riding lessons. We rode a horse named Java. Across the field was THE most beautiful stallion I had ever seen. He kept eating grass out of our hands :-) . After all the fun with the horses we said our goodbyes to our friend and the horses, and made our way to tcby. We got frozen yogurt! The day after all this fun we went to Tyler’s state park. We had a picnic and went paddle boating! It was so much fun! Well…i’m not quite sure what else to say…so…

Bye! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

I love and adore those children as if they are my own. I love putting bandaids on their little scratches. I love helping them reach the sink to wash their hands. I love serving them their food and seeing their faces light up when I do. I love holding their precious little hands wherever we go. I love carrying them when ever they get sleepy. I love jumping up and down with them as we praise God. I love drying their tears and comforting them when they get sad. I adore their precious and unique smiles. I love playing tag with them to the point where I about pass out. I love being soldiers marching around wherever we go. I love fighting pirates and dragons in the grass. I adore their precious laughs. I cherish every moment I have with them, good or bad. I can’t help but smile when I hear their little voices. I love the filling up the day with these wonderful children. I love them in every way.

Addisyn and I have enough money to donate now. So I decided to write a letter to Addisyn about it…i got a little bit carried away…

Dear Addisyn,

Now that we have saved up enough money we just need to figure out what to do with the extra. What I say is why should we give to people who have a roof above their heads when we can give to those who don’t? Why give to those who have food on their plate when we can give to those who don’t have any? People are out there starving, going through pain and misery. Imagine being in their position. Just thinking about it makes me wanna cry. People are dying every 5 seconds! Why not at least try to make it every 5 1/2? People are out there DYING! Can’t we help them?! Someone is out there , thirsty, but can’t find water. And what do we do? We sit around watching TV all day long. I want to make an impact!! Even if the only thing we do is tell someone  ”Jesus loves you” for the first time in their lives there may be a room in heaven being prepared for him or her. “I want to help!” Can’t we all say that at some point? Make an impact in someones life! Don’t throw away your money on some new gizmo when you could be using it to have someone live for one more precious day. OPEN YOUR EYES AMERICA!!! GO OUT AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!

“Kisses from Katie” is an amazing book about a young girl who moved to Uganda, Africa at age 18. She is now 22 and has 14 little girls who she adopted during her 4 years in Uganda. The book is basically her journal. She currently has a ministry called Amazima which means truth in Luganda. Her website is called www.amazima.org. One day I was reading world magazine when I came across a picture of a starving African baby. The pain in my heart was overwhelming as I looked at this starving child. I couldn’t imagine the pain that those poor starving people could be feeling. I developed an incredible passion for the country of Uganda and it’s people. My mom told me to read the book since she couldn’t answer all of the questions I had :-) . I began to read the book and after the first chapter I was even more passionate about the country and it’s people than ever. My friend Addisyn and I began to read the book together. We are now in the process of donating $300 or more to the Amazima ministries. We have both developed a passion for Uganda and would LOVE to go there when we grow up. Katie has been a huge inspiration to us.

P.S. Luganda is the language of Uganda

Ms. Jennifer and Kaylee are moving to Georgia, because Ms. J got a new job.  Mom and I drove out to help them move, and brought Kaylee back with us to keep her for a week, until her school starts. Today is her last day with us. Her mom is coming to get her at 7. There’s a lot of other details that make it a lot worse, but I can’t say them on my blog.  I’m really going to miss her. She’s like my sister, and I can’t believe she’s moving for good.  I was crying a lot last night knowing that that was my last restless night sleeping with her. She ended up taking us the whole top half of the bed, and so I had to sleep curled up in the corner.  I wish that this was some April Fool’s joke post that I usually post on April first, but it’s really not. My little sister is moving across the country today. No joke.
